Board Games

This 2-6 player game is a simple game that will test your skills of observation, quick thinking, and coordination. The game consists of eight fast-paced challenges you must complete before your opponents do. As you and your other players proceed through the challenge deck, you collect the cards you have answered both accurately and most quickly. A correctly identified tactile card or a pair of any other challenge card will earn you a piece of the brain. The first player to four brain pieces wins! The Cool Part: 10 of the cards in the box have a texture to them!

Android: Netrunner: Daedalus Complex

This first Data Pack in the Red Sand Cycle turns our attention to Mars instead of Earth. It requires a certain ruggedness to live and work and simply traveling outside of the protected cities requires a breathing apparatus and protective gear to traverse the surface. Even though the Martian Colony Wars have ended, the tensions between the clans, the Martian Colonial Authority, and the corps remain high.

Elder Sign: Omens of the Deep

Players now venture forth from the confines of the museum and board The Ultima Thule to combat the Ancient Ones that have begun to stir in the depths of the Pacific. Engage the newly introduced mission tokens for hard-won rewards and fend off Deep One’s Legion as your investigators move to unknown dangers on the Pacific Adventure cards. Only the bravest can attempt to seal with the power from the omens the terrors that reside in the depths of the Pacific. The Cool Part: Lore of H.P. Lovecraft!

Star Realms: United

This expansion for Star Realms is packaged in four non-random booster packs (Assault, Command, Missions and Heroes), with each booster pack containing twelve new game cards and a rules card. Each pack has its own rules for the pack you picked and will have cards only for the pack you picked.

Board Games

D&D: Assault on the Giants –  Assault of the Giants is a new Dungeons & Dragons board game designed by Andrew Parks. Designed for 3 -6 players, Assault of the Giants challenges players to command one of the six types of giants and claim the right to rule over all giantkind. Command giants and assault settlements to score points and secure important resources, including food, treasure, ore, and runes. Contents include 12 Giants miniatures, injection molded in color, measuring from approximately 20mm to over 90mm in height, and three Giantslayers! Each player issues commands to his or her giants in the form of command cards (recruit, move, attack, pillage, and so on). This allows players to recruit new giants, send them out to attack settlements and other giants, and also to pursue special agendas based upon their race. For example, the Storm Giants seek to restore their lost monarch, King Hekaton. The Cloud Giants seek an ancient dragon treasure trove, and the Hill Giants seek an abundance of food with which to feed their massive monarch, Chief Guh. The Cool Part: In Assault of the Giants, players send their giants out to wage war on each other and the small folk, but the game’s real strategy lies in each player’s ability to pursue their giant race’s unique agenda, not only through combat but also through clever card play.

Time Stories: Expedition Endurance –  In the fourth expansion for T.I.M.E Stories, a temporal anomaly of the worst sort has opened up in 1914 in Antarctica. This is the year that the crew of the Endurance attempted to cross the continent and failed, and your efforts to unravel the mysteries of this temporal anomaly will carry you into a realm where temperatures drop below -40, but be cautious, there may be supernatural forces at work.

With the events that at the university and the Clover Club, you are lead to believe that someone is looking for this ancient tomb, so you must do everything in your power to stop them from getting that book. The Cool Part: You can either conduct your investigation as a relatively simple book recovery or incorporate it into the campaign from The Dunwich Legacy.

Small World: River World –  Players discover new maps full of water regions haunted by merciless pirates! Players defend their precious harbors against them, fight them on the river, and still keep an eye out for your opponents! In River World, there is still not enough room for everybody! River World includes two double sized playing boards for the 4 possible player configurations. River World adds to the base game, so the base game of Small World is needed for this. The Cool Part: Random events that are triggered on each turn add chaos to the game making games different each playthrough.

Legendary: Marvel: Noir –  Legendary’s 12th expansion steps into a universe where superpowers are replaced by gritty stories. Play through the Marvel Noir storyline that features 5 new heroes, 2 Villain groups, 2 New Masterminds and 4 new schemes. The Cool Part: You can play as Daredevil, Spider-man, or Iron Man in a 60’s mafia style outfit.

Time Management: The Time Management Game – In Time Management, a quick-playing, tile-laying game, players are workers at the Office of Time Management, managing the space-time continuum. Their goal is to add temporal workers to the workforce and arrange them in such a way to ensure the safety of the continuum – and save time!

Traitor Mechanic: The Traitor Mechanic Game –  In Traitor Mechanic, players are automobile mechanics all working together to fix cars. However, one of them has been hired by a rival auto-shop to undermine their efforts and make this auto-shop go bankrupt. You must work together, fix the cars, and attempt to reveal just which one of you is the traitor mechanic!

Nothing Up My Sleeve – Or, Is There? – The world’s greatest magicians have been assembled to establish who is the best illusionist of all time – but, as with all great magic, there is much sleight-of-hand afoot, and the magicians in Trick-Taking will use cunning and great mentalist powers to steal each others` tricks!
