It’s that time of year again.
Black Friday, the first “official” day of the holiday shopping season, is in less than one week. We know some of you are making lists, checking out deals, and planning your approach to one of the busiest shopping days of the year, so we wanted to give you a heads-up on what we’re planning for this Friday and Saturday.
We’re having a sale.
I know, that’s not really all that unique. This year, like last year, at Jupiter Games, you will determine your discount. By rolling a die.
On Black Friday and Small Business Saturday, your discount will come down to a die roll.
So, how is this going to work? Well, it’s pretty simple. You bring up the items you’re going to purchase. We give you a D20. You roll it. That number on top? That’s your discount.
This whole roll-a-die-and-get-a-discount thing is per purchase, not per item. You’ll give us the items you wish to purchase, we ring ’em up, you roll your discount and… done. No rerolls. No adding or removing items from the purchase after the discount roll. Want to grab some more stuff? That’s awesome and definitely encouraged, but you’ll need to re-join the line at the back.
Also, no one likes a critical fail, so we’re capping the minimum discount at 5% off. That means for each purchase your discount will be between 5% and 20%.
And now, the fine print:
- First off, this sale is on all in-stock, purchasable items only so there will be no additional no discounts on event entry.
- Secondly, there will be no additional discounts applied to preorders and special orders (but the standard 10% off will still apply).
- Finally, this sale does not apply to the sale of Magic: the Gathering Booster Boxes as our everyday price on these is already discounted by 20% or more off MSRP.
