At Jupiter Games, we view the safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff as the highest priority as we respond to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic.

The situation regarding COVID-19 is changing rapidly. We are motoring communications from county, state, and federal government and health officials, and are following recommended guidelines to protect customers, staff, and our gaming community.


Our Retail Store and Events Center will remain closed until the NY P.A.U.S.E. act is lifted and it is responsible for us to resume in-person sales.

We are working on a solution for selling and shipping other in-stock items (paints, brushes, models, RPG Books, board games, and more). We’re not really set up for shipping large, odd-shaped, or heavy items, so it’s taking a little while to work out the best way to proceed on this front. I should have more details later this week.

We will also be opening up pre-sales for upcoming Magic sets, D&D books, Board Games, and more. Details to follow.
Last week I briefly mentioned an online Merch store. This is taking a little longer to set up than anticipated, but it’s on my list. More details soon.

Right now we have one person handling business + communications and one person running our fulfillment center, so things are progressing a little slower than desired but I assure you we’re hard at work!

We are enhancing our cleaning procedures to ensure that all high-contact surfaces in our retail space and event center are sanitized more frequently, following guidelines published by the Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

We ask that you postpone your visit to our retail store and events center if you have a cold or cough or have recently traveled to a high-risk area, and that all visitors wash or sanitize their hands frequently while on the premises. We have made hand sanitizer available for customer use at our front and back counters. Customers who are visibly ill may be asked to leave for the safety of our staff, customers, and our community at large.

We have plans in place to respond to a variety of situations and will continue to revise them as information evolves.

In light of the developing situation with COVID-19 and through an abundance of caution, Jupiter Games will be postponing the Catan National Qualifier Event originally scheduled for Saturday, March 21st until further notice.

We have made changes to in-store Events Center in response to the governor’s mandate to limit capacity and to make responsible social distancing even easier. We still have seating for 60 (down a little bit from our usual 80+) but you’ll still find lots of seating for events and open play plus wider, more comfortable spacing between tables.

We are also removing all hands-on game demos from our sales floor and are suspending use of our in-store Board Game Library. Board Game Night and open board game play will still run as usual with the caveat that we ask that you bring your own game for your board gaming group to play.

In the interest of maintaining a stable and sustainable business to support ourselves and our community, we are immediately suspending cash purchasing of Magic: the Gathering cards. This suspension is temporary and will be in effect until April 15th, at which point we will be re-evaluating the policy. We will still be buying cards for store credit ONLY during this period.

Jupiter Games will be canceling all “Friday Night Paint & Dine” events between now and April 15th. Paint & Dine is one of our very favorite store programs and we will be happy to see it back on our events schedule once again. We’re also pleased to announce that the winner of our quarterly drawing for a free Paint & Dine event is Rob Cooper. Rob, your next Paint & Dine is on us!

We have also moved the event date for the Young Red Dragon Paint & Take event, originally on our calendar for later this month, out to Saturday, May 16th.

Effective immediately we are taking the following actions:

We are closing our in-store events center.

We are canceling all in-store events until further notice.

We are modifying our retail store business hours.

Our retail store will continue remain open for business for as long as it is responsible to do so.

Monday – Friday:
12 PM – 8 PM

Saturday & Sunday:
12 PM – 6 PM

Our Cardroom Hours, for selling us your Magic Cards and submitting in-store Magic Card orders, will end 15 minutes before close. If you have a large number of cards to buy or sell, please make sure you come in at least an hour before close!

These new hours go into effect immediately and will be in place until further notice.

The situation with the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) epidemic is changing quickly.
Jupiter Games will cease all in-store operations for the duration of this epidemic or until it is safe and reasonable for us to reopen.

We will be updating our pricing and continuing online Magic Singles sales for as long as that is maintainable.

* All “shipping” orders received before 7 pm EST on Friday, March 20th will ship by Saturday, March 21st.
* All “shipping” orders received after 7 pm EST on Friday, March 20th WILL BE HELD until we’re once again able to staff our cardroom.
* All “pickup” orders received at this time WILL BE HELD until we’re able to reopen our storefront.
